Taylor Times

The editor of the Taylor Times left "midstream" in the early spring of 1997 and the department wound up with the responsibility of publishing the internal newsletter that has a circulation of approximately 800 pieces, biweekly. I worked on the Taylor Times for nine issues, which is eighteen weeks while upper management decided if we should continue the newsletter. In that time I did pricing research and changed the format from an 11x17 tabloid style paper to a 8.5x11 size issue, and changing to a more appropriate paper stock. Thus saving the university anywhere from $4,000 - $5,000 a year. I also did a complete redesign of the publication, and learned that a newsletter design is _much_ different than any brochure, magazine or ad.
